Palliative Care
About Palliative Care
Palliative care, also known as end of life care has the goal of supporting a person and their family through the final stages of life. We offer specialised in-home assistance focused on comfort, emotional support and practical guidance.
We understand that the requirements of those who needs palliative care are different and more complex when compared to other cases, as are the requirements of their families. Which means our carers are trained to the highest standard, and have the experience, kindness, and compassion required to support someone through such a delicate time.
How does palliative Care Work
When dealing with severe cases where palliative care becomes a requirement, the comfort and dignity of the person are paramount. As such, we will coordinate with your GP and other medical professionals involved in order to understand what the needs and requirements are. Our carers will apply themselves to provide comfort and support, help with medication, meals, washing, and other necessary things according to need.
Another important responsibility of a palliative carer is to provide psychological support to the family of the afflicted person.

While our purpose is to support people during difficult times, we also believe that people don’t have to be defined by their condition. Part of that belief is the idea that care-giving is more than tending to the physical needs. It’s also about emotional support and companionship. It’s about having a fulfilling lifestyle, where people participate in activities tailored to their interests and abilities, ensuring they stay engaged and stimulated.
