Frequently Asked Questions
How do you select the carer?
Prior to suggesting a carer, we will conduct a thorough assessment of your specific situation and requirements. Based on that, we will select the carer we think best suits you and and your needs.
Are your carers qualified?
We only hire caregivers who have the qualifications and experience necessary to handle the challenges of the job. They also receive extensive training from us before they are trusted with the well-being of our clients.
How do I know if I will like the carer?
It is indeed natural to worry about about liking someone who will effectively become part of your or your loved one's life. Based on the care assessment we will select the carer who would be the best match, based not only on experience and competence, but also based on personality, interests and demeanor.
Once we think we've found the right carer, we will arrange half an hour for you to meet. This will come at no charge, and will allow both to see if there is good potential for working together. If everything goes well, we will arrange a trial shift which should further help understand if the caregiver we've selected is suitable.
How do I know it's safe to hire a carer?
Not only we hire people with the experience and references which show they're qualified for the job, we also vet all our employees through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
What if I have any issues?
Problems and difficulties can arise at any time, and we will periodically get in touch. We will do this proactively, in order to keep up to date with your specific situation.
You will also have a direct line of contact (phone number and email) with the care manager responsible for your case.
What if something changes?
Needs can evolve over time and so must care packages. We will always be available to accommodate any changes and to ensure that you receive the level of care that meets your current requirements.
Which is better, home care or transferring to a care home?
We provide home care services, so of course we will argue for that. On a serious note, home care not only can provide the same level of care, but also allows the person receiving it to continue living in a familiar environment, with a higher degree of independence and all the benefits which those things provide.

While our purpose is to support people during difficult times, we also believe that people don’t have to be defined by their condition. Part of that belief is the idea that care-giving is more than tending to the physical needs. It’s also about emotional support and companionship. It’s about having a fulfilling lifestyle, where people participate in activities tailored to their interests and abilities, ensuring they stay engaged and stimulated.
